Practice Makes Perfect, but it’s Alternative or Bust

Recently went on a photo shoot about a week ago. Went for a VERY different look; something I never do, mostly due to the reason that I feel and know I never look good plain- it makes me feel very uneasy? The theme was earthy yet dark so naturally best thing that comes to mind is brown upon brown, black boots, but a twist on the socks! Striped stockings all the way! The outfit in general was executed perfectly, to top it off a shawl to protect the skin from the sun also as another ensemble to the outfit. Unfortunately, the final piece that was meant to really bring the whole concept together loosened itself from the sealed frame, so the antlers had to stay.
What with being an aspiring Alternative model, every chance one gets to grow their portfolio, from what I learn, is a chance one should never pass up on if they’re intent on growing their portfolio since they are serious about their art work; but ALWAYS be cautious and know the people you’re working with!! So whenever I’ve been given the chance to make my art come alive or compose a new idea, I make sure to use the opportunity I’ve been presented- obviously though, with people I know who have experience using their craft (the photographer). This time, for this shoot, things were not at all along the lines of having experience, for my photographer friend was also using this experience as practice for them self, no problem there, but when looking through the photo set I noticed the biggest mistakes I always avoid and constantly remind myself NEVER to do. Always, always elongate that neck- it’s crucial! But what makes it a team effort is having someone who’s worked with people before and knows when one needs the aid of remembrance, one must speak up and say what is needed to get a great shot. Thankfully I’ve learned that on my own from a few inspirational role models, but also through the aid of the photographers who’ve helped me with my previous photo shoots. I am very thankful of that lesson and many others learned with their help.
Sadly though, I did not implement my lessons learned for when the body feels comfortable and when one is NOT in front of a mirror, one does not see themselves but feels what may be right- WRONG! Those mistakes appeared on the set, something I judge myself on very harshly. So of course, most of the photos that were great ideas were total flunks which disappointed me a lot. Perhaps another attempt at this very theme may turn out far better than the previous one.

IzSynthetiks: Apparel, Art, Commissions, etc.

As a few of you may know, my first few posts were about a certain Etsy store I had begun about 7 months ago. Well to let you all know, THAT delusion, is deep beneath the earth and not ever receiving a second chance. I honestly had no idea what I was thinking, when I fathomed this idea about having a craft shop on etsy. Yes, everything done by hand is a craft, but what I had buzzing around in my noggin just wasn't cutting it and gave off a dull feeling and what's worse, I had little to no hope in seeing it succeed. Number one rule in owning/opening your own business, is you start off with a pessimistic train of thought, then you will attract all what is negative.

It was time to turn over to a clean slate and start the process with a refreshed mindset towards my newly taken, recreational hobby- among MANY others. After all, from the ashes of a Phoenix, is reborn something truly remarkable, which is what IzSynthetiks is to me. A new leaf on life and my creative nature blooming once again, but being truly MYSELF!

Not that I never was; it's just that, when I first began my previous Etsy store, I thought I had to make it look a certain way that conformed or met the audience/customers standards. WRONG! I NEVER CONFORM TO ANYTHING! My biggest mistake, that I made, was that I chose to make it "pretty" and not ME.

I've had many people try to change me, all have failed, but don't think you're out of the woods just yet for you're your worst enemy- it is a truer statement than you can believe and one that I've now recognized and learned from. I'm still slightly disappointed with myself for having done such a stupid thing, but thankfully this new beginning will make up for that horrid act on my part.

Without further adieu, I leave you guys with some information on my Etsy Shop, IzSynthetiks.
Unisex apparel, my art works, commission pieces and more! At the moment, there is but one listing on my store; it is my TOXIC shirt. There are six shirts in stock. If you want to find out more, here's the link.

Wishing You A Happy 2014! Now let's bring out the Resolution list

It's been a while since my last post here, and I do apologize. I know I've been naughty, but I will correct my errors for I've got a HUGE list of a New Years Resolution to complete. First off, I'd like to wish you all a happy and safe, belated New Year 2014. I hope you all had a wonderful time and enjoyed it well spent, with your lovely family and friends- the lot of you.

Onto the resolutions list, boy do I have A LOT of catching up to do! It's not even funny! Though, my resolutions list may be a monster, there's but one TRUE important listing on there that has more precedence than all the other listings and that little number just so happens to be, *drum roll* working out! Yep, that's right! Izzy is heading to the gym and pumping iron- okay maybe NOT that extreme, but I am dedicating a full hour a day to working out even if it kills me! And if it does, I'll look for encouragement from myself or my few lovely readers from my main page who will kick me in the butt and remind me as well as my brutal self that sleeps all cozy in what is my mind.

Aside from working out, a few other resolutions consist of; completing more projects and enjoying many endeavors along the way that are towards completing my many goals (long-term and short-term), keeping a steady pace and devoting more time to my blogs and DGM articles and having fun while completing many future projects and see what will happen during my travel through time in these uncharted waters, known as 2014.

Oh, to leave you all with a 2014 CHALLENGE, as I have left for my readers on my main blog; I am going to attempt to complete a challenge at saving close to 2k this year with this VERY simple method of saving cash.

The more I kept looking at this, as soon as I found it while surfing the web, I thought "It really couldn't hurt to give it a go." It really can't! So, I suggest or to put it into effect, I challenge you ALL to join in on this little idea of mine and see just how far you can go. I wonder, how many of you will actually stick to it? I'm hoping I do my best, but I will definitely try to stuff my wallet/account with any cash I have on my person. Every little bit does count, let's see how far this can go. I think 52 days should hit the mark and is sufficient.

Happy New Year! I wish you all good fortune and many happy, exciting endeavors to come! Cheers!

Modeling With The Trees

After our fetish party fun and makeup fiasco that turned out surprisingly remarkable towards the end, we drove tot he park for a bit of a mini-shoot. I was really happy with the choice of location. I really settled in and complimented the makeup and outfits beautifully.

Caught off guard!
Caught him off guard here too

Photos By Izcentric

A photo-shoot I had done a while ago with two lovely girls (my two best friends) who volunteered happily to be my models.

I think I did a pretty good job. Although I'm more partial to being the one in front of the camera, I also enjoy taking photos and improving my skills in modeling and photography.

Enjoy, comment, critique or contact me.
